All service is provided based on the need for care, not the ability to pay. Hospice of Anchorage does not receive reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance companies. All services are funded through the generous donations of our community.
By dedicating an ornament on a Hospice tree, you honor the memory of a loved one and bring comfort and care to the terminally ill and their families in our community. Our Remembrance Tree is located at the Anchorage 5th Avenue Mall from the day after Thanksgiving through December 24th.

Over 550 ornaments were displayed honoring loved ones on the 2007 Hospice of Anchorage Remembrance Tree. This annual event raised over $50,000 to support others facing the transition from life through death.
Special thanks to Mayor Mark Begich, Remembrance Tree Honorary Chair Ermalee Hickel, the volunteers from Credit Union One, Lee Willis and Marion Richter, and all those who contributed and volunteered to make this event a success.
Hospice of Anchorage thanks ConocoPhillips for their generous sponsorship gift which helped underwrite the costs of promotion for this event.
